I will be called a nigger for saying this anecdote but I promise I'm just eastern European:

When I was a kid there was an instilled virtue of "not playing the hero" ie if you saw corruption, fraud, even more serious crime happening you wouldn't snitch or try to fix it because the system itself is broken and you are powerless against it.

I feel like this concept spread to all zoomers globally. When you think about it we are blasted with demoralizing shit about muh climate change and muh Palestine and all this suffering on social media. Individuals can't do anything about it and those who try to protest or try to change the system are considered tryhards and retarded.

You can choose to be a good person and make a difference for your family, community, town etc, but terminally online zoomers don't see that.

The way zoomer internet culture is moving actually reminds me of Russian internet culture in terms of the detachment and irony poisoning.

It makes sense all things considered, like it or not on third world shit holes like Eastern Europe, Latin America etc, snitching could easily get you killed, imprisoned or just abused by the ""authorities"" (they're all criminals with badges issued by the state essentially).

So if you care even slightly about self-preservation you're kind of forced to shut up, mind you people tend to be keenly aware of all the corruption and misdeeds going on (especially now thanks to social media) but they know that even if they try to intervene the changes they change anything are slim, all while a very real danger for them and their loved ones exists, it's depressing really but it's just how things are.
 
this is the end result of asshole parents who can't help but fuck over their own children either by actively being shitheads or by neglect. now the kids have successfully been condition to believe that behavior that actively destroys society is normal o algo. yey!!!

i do think though that the internet, being a microcosm of societies most raw aspects, is an inherently dangerous and evil place, and attempting to safe-proof it like australia and europe are doing isn't gonna solve much of anything. it's been awful a place for as long as it's been publically accessable and will likely only continue to get worse as more people join. all we can really do is GENUINELY teach our kids the dangers of the web and for them to navigate it with very VERY heavy discretion, avoiding making the same mistake that was made before.

Admittedly this is an old post, but the other day I was watching the police interrogation of Nikolas Cruz, and on the part where his brother comes in, he struggles to name a single interest Cruz had outside of guns.

This guy was full of shit and made all this up so he could further his career. He wasn't KGB either, he was just a journo. Itd be like if Taylor Lorenz fled to China and went on a media campaign talking about how the CIA has a secret methodology for promoting Capitalist/western ideas there. That's really unsurprising. School shooters really are some of the most boring human beings imaginable. It takes a special (read: profoundly retarded) sort of person to want to feel powerful by shooting a lot of children. In my experience, the dumber people are, the fewer interests they have. Past a certain point, there's just no mental capacity left to process anything that isn't concrete, simple, and immediate.

If it wasn't for the timing of their attack (some journalist believe that the recent shift to 24/7 news at the time caused the intense media exposure) and the scale being unimaginable for the time, no one would be this interested in it so many years later. Nowadays unless you get a high school or are conventionally attractive even the TCC glosses over you because there's nothing of interest.

Most who idolize school shooters either agree with their already retarded and stunted world views, twist them into being deep, or outright ignore them to focus on the real effects of their actions, the "fame" and mere actions of being able to commit a shooting. Which is arguably pretty much the only thing that matters.
People who are lucky enough to not have have been affected personally by one of these retards have the privilege of laughing at their innerthoughts, but there will always be someone who views them as an unredeemable monster in some form or another, and that is possibly enough for some, unconsciously or not

The idolization of Cruz, and just shooters in general, is so weird to me. He's an idiot with FAS who sounds like Chris Chan, and was such a coward that he could not go through with killing himself, which led to him being the first major school shooter brought into custody. In his interrogation he just mumbles answers while he breaks down constantly, and in his trial he was completely humiliated in front of the entire world, having every aspect of his life and even his search history revealed to the public, all the while he just meekly sat there, trying to avoid the death penalty and getting blasted by all of his surviving victims and their families. Even now he's spending the rest of his life in a concrete cell in a prison which doesn't even have air conditioning, while his crown achievement will forever be "shooting unarmed children in a locked building".

Even the most irony-poisoned TCC fanatic should be able to realize "this guy is a total retard", yet people act like he's the most dreamy guy they've ever seen. It makes absolutely no sense, why are Gen Z/Alpha role models always the dumbest possible people?

The idolization of school shooters really is a result of the zoomer dissatisfaction with societal rot coming to its head. Emasculated boys, girls with no identity, no sense of concrete culture (complete transience), decades of feminism connecting with lockdowns and porn to create a sexually frustrated hellscape, dead third spaces, sky-high levels of loneliness, economic woes causing learned helplessness, boomer & subsequent parents failing to pass on any sort of healthy belief systems onto their children, etc. You can't underestimate the impact of our dogshit school system on this either, because as mentioned it turns out emasculated boys ("sit down and shut up!") and girls with no identity ("career>everything else, boys are out to get you!"). That doesn't justify these shooters at all but when you've got a generation of people with no life aside from this school system eventually they are gonna lash out against it. Because of 24/7 media coverage the DEFINITIVE way of lashing out against that societal rot and the systems that uphold it have been mass shootings. This might sound weird but after watching news coverage of Columbine it becomes clear (I can't find the clip I wanted to upload here as an example, might edit it or something similar to it in).

Now as for why Cruz is idolized, it's pretty much only because of the killcount. What he did was regarded as a full attack, a DEFINITIVE attack, in the vein of Columbine, Sandy Hook, Christchurch, etc. In other words he brought a long gun, wore a distinctive outfit, and got over 10 casualties. The media circus might make him look like a retard to you but for a suicidal irony poisoned zoomer with nearly nothing to live for it just brings attention to him and makes him sound more imposing; to them, it's like laughing at Jeffrey Dahmer because he ate people. It's something only a severe loser would do, but nobody makes fun of him for it because of how fucked up it was. Same with Cruz because of his killcount. Zoomers have an absolutely extreme cringe culture; you'll get made fun of even for showing emotion in any way, hence why "nonchalant" and "demure" have become positive attributes these days. If you act serious or genuinely angry in any capacity yet are deemed not worthy of being taken seriously (which is 99% of people) you'll get dragged through mud in whatever comment section useless GIFs get spammed in. If you manage to murder tens of people you are deemed relatively worthy of being taken seriously compared to that 99% of people. TCC fags make fun of people like the San Diego mosque shooters all day, but you won't here a peep of criticism from them towards Tarrant because Tarrant killed a shit ton of people. They'll laugh at the Covenant pooner shooter but they won't make fun of Adam Lanza.

This would explain the idolization I've seen of Peter Scully, and the memeification of Daisy's Destruction. I once saw an aura edit of Scully, another coward in the same vein as Cruz, but even worse. As DD is among the worst things available on the web, it makes sense that these dissatisfied zoomers would turn it into a meme, and share it around like a sacred totem.

Something I remember talking about with somebody was that if someone were to do something considered "cringe", years ago, such as fighting with lightsabers in a field, most people would leave them be, or they might get a segment on the afternoon news where they are viewed with curiosity. Nowadays, somebody would record the event, and it would get posted to some Instagram slop account where the comments are full of retards going "ts is not tuff 🥀". This was happening in some schools recently, where students became afraid to eat as others would record them and upload it as a form of bullying.

It seems like a lot of them are people with serious mental health issues and a predisposition toward Narcissism who believe that they're smarter than everyone else in the room, but aren't actually capable of understanding any philosophy more complex than Nihilism. They're just smart enough to recognize that the dumbest, least self-aware forms of traditional moral reasoning are wrong, but too stupid to even realize that other concepts of meaning or justifications for social order exist.

Basically, they're the violently delusional version of 16 year olds who draw anarchy symbols on bathroom doors while understanding exactly fuck-all about Anarchism as a political theory. They're either too crazy or too fucking stupid to realize that the "cool" aesthetics are just aesthetics, so they make others suffer for their retardation.

EDIT: After much consideration, I've realized that there are unfortunately enough of these dipshits for this not to be personally identifying information if I strip out some details. I was on the hit list for one of these dipshits, but an innocent elderly woman got herself shot to stop him. I hope she's resting in peace while he burns in Hell.

I'm aware that few people mentioned in her story and those connected to her later on had allegations of doing sex crimes, and yet in her own world with same accused people that were her friends she has no idea about those facts, which also solidifies that many people in older groups that jazie was in had already moved on from larpercore, leaving her behind.
As for sex crimes, one guy who was mentioned in her story was too intimate with someone who was underage in discord dms (i dont remember exact details how) and got exiled and recently another guy who was connected to AFF and knew jazie had flown too close to the sun of "girl" chasing by sexually assaulting someone.
