If you want to watch something worthwhile I recommend Sarah Paine presentations.
I disagree with her on a decent amount of things but she has very persuasive arguments for the American Empire and institutions, and does it without sperging about Trump. Institutional rot for example I do not think she pays enough attention to. Yes it's good to have institutions, but if they get corrupted and start turning inwards on their own population in a negative way then they need to be fixed, whether via destruction or reformation.
The title of this one is about Putin/Xi, but is more about how Continental and Maritime powers behave very differently. I might do a more detailed write up on it later.

Her point on exponential growth is very good. Just having a few, or even one % higher GDP per year compared to other countries compounding over decades leads to massive differences in industrial, military and technological capabilities.
Here's some examples I found in this article which is really good.
1% difference over ~2116 years = difference between world superpower and poor shithole (Bolivia).
only 0.25% difference over ~2116 years = difference between world superpower and first world EU country (Spain), being at 56% of our GDP per captia.

Shorter 50 year graph.
Italy only being below us by 1% GDP spread over 50 years = only 60% of our GDP per capita.

It's good to keep this type of thing in mind with Iran, China, Russia, etc. It isn't just about how you're doing but about how others are doing relative to you. If these countries are below us by just 1% of GDP for the next 50 years they'd be cut nearly in half relative to us.
