I honestly don't hate it I think the Spock, Kirk, and McCoy scenes are good it's definitely the weakest of the TOS films but not the worst Trek...

Despite it's flaws, there was an attempt there along with effort and dare i say it has even a heart. Far more than a lot of later Star Trek movies...
