What causes this? Is it from putting it in and out of the slot too many times, or is the material of the cartridge itself so cheaply-made that...

I thought that the issue was the cartridge losing its charge from not having been used recently enough to keep the charge refreshed, not physical...

Is it bad soldering? That will result in the game loading and loading and loading, or some errors but sometimes that game loads (also crashes)...
