It is a good game, albeit one that never got finished and is appropriately rough around the edges. Be warned though, manpower is hard to come by.

I know you dont want to use mods, but I have to suggest the Invictus mod. It more or less "finishes" the game's content, and its still getting...

Invictus feels essential to me now. Really fleshes out the game.
