Y'all thinking miners wouldn't pay for sex gotta wake up. It's the oldest profession for a reason and they're all unionized, probably making a minimum of $75k/year. Obviously Greer's business is never going to be more than a twinkle in his eye but the idea of selling sex to workers isn't exactly far-fetched.

Also to note is that Russell literally campaigned for Trump (unsanctioned, of course) on Reddit trying to convince die-hard liberals to vote for Trump. He was one of the only people to do so on Reddit.

So, not only has this lawsuit survived two presidencies, it has also survived efforts by Russell Greer to establish the Trump regime.

So, if you ever want to know how long ago this case started, just remember that it's seeing the third presidency so far, and only now with any sort of end in sight.

Adding to this comment. Here's what I noted just before the last election. So long has passed since that comment, and yet so little.

So in Greer's mind, if Gilman isn't gonna bring the whores to the city then the city should take the land via eminent domain to give to Greer. Winnemucca though is actually a fairly nice town from what I can tell, it's at least not the stereotypical small Nevada town in the desert that consists of bar and a couple of trailers, and Greer just cannot understand why they don't want a brothel in the middle of town.

Nearest brothel is in Battle Mountain about an hour away, which has a cat on their logo and is therefore excellent.

It's got a cat in it because it's a cathouse, a slang term for a brothel. It's kind of olde time-y, but still modern enough. Another old time term for brothels is a bawdy house or bawd crib. That's more of an Old West term for it.

And there are so many other things he's completely clueless about. I was a business owner, and even though I had a fair grasp of what's involved, I still had little idea of what was really required. I thought that getting investors, a lawyer, and an accountant were the big hurdles. LOL. Those were just the first 3 steps out of hundreds before you even open the doors for the first day of business.

But the one fatal flaw with Russ above all others is his complete lack of interpersonal skills. Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times is a must, and a degree of personal charm and diplomacy certainly helps as well.

Russ is just such a caustic, hateful, vindictive person, that there's no way he'll ever succeed as a business owner. He'd best make his peace with a broom he pushes, or with his delivery vehicle, because he's burned all of his other employment bridges.

I think an even bigger fatal flaw with Russhole is his complete lack of theory of mind. It has plagued him with every scheme he's ever tried. Russ thinks everyone thinks the same way he does and wants the same things he does. Shit-Lips likes whores and wants more brothels, that means everyone else likes whores and wants more brothels. He is completely incapable of understanding that MANY, if not MOST, people do not see these things as positive or desirable. Having brothels in Winnemucca could bring enough prosperity to the town for every single resident to easily be able to afford their dream car regardless of how expensive it is, and they would still reject allowing them in their community. It just wouldn't be worth it to them.

There are miners who would never even consider for a moment going to a brothel or hiring a hooker. And most people aren't going to travel out into the middle of the Nevada wastes to visit brothels to the point of turning the town into a "tourist hotspot". If that were true then towns like Ely and Pahrump (might be Tonopah) would be more than just fly specks on a map.

But Russhole doesn't understand any of this. It has never once occurred to him because he is so disconnected from normal, regular people, so entirely fixated on himself and his own desires, and has no theory of mind due to his narcissism. That's why any time reality smacks him upside the head and says "Nobody else wants this shit, you dumbass mongoloid!" it completely short circuits his brain and he can't process it. Then he throws a tantrum and accuses people of lying about not wanting the things he wants because they hate the disabled. He genuinely believes that deep down they really do want what he wants, but are lying simply to spite him.

That slide deck was one of the ugliest I have seen in a very long time. I’m pretty sure early-year High School students that struggle maintaining a C average can shit out a better presentation than that. I guess it is fitting though: an ugly man giving an ugly presentation at least gives it a consistent theme?
