If we got rid of pennies, than we'd just be ripping off Canada. Not a good look.

Pennies will still be circulating around, though. It's not like it's going away completely.

Sounds like the problem is the sales tax taking you off a whole dollar amount. Get rid of sales tax and no more pennies. EZ PZ

Pennies are necessary because everything ends in $X.99 and sales tax makes the total price a number that isn't necessarily divisible by five...
