In my experience it's usually a tiny shitbox like a Peugeot 106 or a Fiat Panda, people carriers tend to be the exclusive domain of mums over here.

I never drove a minivan in high school because the minivan was the one used for big trips, groceries, transporting people, etc. I drove a sedan.
