OBS works nicely.

That's weird, it doesn't do that for me. I can't even find an option to enable minimizing the window, even in the hotkey settings. I tried GDI...

OBS is pretty much the best option by a country mile but may take some tinkering to get just right depending on what you are aiming for...

DaVinci Resolve can change .srt files (even create them from scratch). I know it's preached to death, but it's really the best video editor/color...
