I don't agree with the "people you'd least expect" bit. A lot of Discords are populated with absolute autists, and a lot of those internet...

My rule for Discord is only join ones where you know the majority of people on it IRL, and use it to supplement normal social stuff. That cuts out...

I don't understand the concept of needing to DM people. If you aren't close enough to text then there's no reason to even be talking about...
