I think the crux is productive debate and discussion. I think replying to someone with "you're wrong faggot" just spurs people to resort to that...

It did used to be used for that and it was awesome, now it's just an embarrassing circlejerk full of retards and I hate it.

To be fair, even in your screenshot it shows most reactions are mati and some autistic. So even the regulars of the spiderman thread didn't like it.
