I think it will probably survive as it's just Magic trying to copy Divine Shield from Hearthstone in their own way. It's a simple enough mechanic...

I am waffling on making an Atraxa + Brokers deck for that reason. Brokers for most of the Green/Blue/White cards and Tutors for the Black cards...
