I can't imagine getting blackout drunk and screaming on camera every day is doing his recovery any favors.

Doesn't even have to be nerve damage. There are a whole bunch of tendons that control eye and lid movement, any of those could have been damaged...

i knew someone who had a nerve injury and it took years for their blinking to sync up properly it tends to only mend if you're young though...
