The reason given for this was "because they had a green SUV".

He was killed by Russian troops passing, he had his two young kids in the back. They made it. He is a well known hunter and a ukrainian youtuber.

Willing to bet saboteur is just code for citizens killed by other untrained paranoid citizens with guns.
