Brother, Guam has been a US territory since 1898. We keep over 10,000 troops there at any given time.

Easier resupply to Taiwan, probably going to island-hop for a while, and the U.S. will claim they are in Guam the entire time. Plausible deniability.

I was under the impression that Iron Dome was only effective against unguided rockets and that we used the Phalanx gun for missile defense.

Iron Dome doesn't hook into the US IBCS system nicely and can only really intercept drones/slow cruise missiles. They might be able to intercept...
