You're absolutely right. I have a lot of hope that the kid will be found due to his anime gear though, no one is going to forget seeing that. It's awful that grooming and inappropriate behaviour around kids has become so acceptable and out in the open on twitter and discord recently, and there is almost no one looking out for them. They keep doing that in trans missing cases, and it's criminal, especially when the missing person is a kid.

Don't get me wrong - I have no problem with searchers stating 'X identifies as a trans woman/man, and uses ABC pronouns. Please use those pronouns when approaching them'. But the priority should be finding the missing person/child and for that you need accurate information, especially if you're asking strangers to be on the lookout. They can get upset about pronouns when they're home safe and their family isn't terrified for them.
