Even though this is how gay men treat each other & should be a sign of acceptance that they're not treating you any differently because you're trans. I am impressed. I thought it was only AGPs who were uniquely capable of ruining the dynamics and structure of an entire group as soon as a single one of them entered it. I didn't know FtMs had also gained this power. You go, girls!
It's not enough for her to declare herself a gay man, she also has to decide that everyone else is doing gay wrong, and crying bigotry when they don't immediately cave to every desire. And the comments there are all backing her up, telling her she needs to complain, go to HR, etc.
And these people wonder why everyone hates them?
Her whole profile is sad: she has another post talking about how she used to get dozens of facebook birthday wishes every year (already a depressing way of measuring social interaction) and as soon as she trooned out it dropped down to only 4 or 5 people. It's almost like LARPing your way into a marginalized group is off-putting even for people who don't belong to that group?
But by far the most amusing thing is how amazingly
feminine she sounds. Random screengrab of some of her comments, highlighting the enthusiastic notes of emotional connection she puts at the start and sometimes at the end of her comments, and also the hedging language she uses (I think, I guess).
The comments strike me as a weird and rare reversal of what we usually see with troons, which is MtFs showing typical male behavior and blithely taking advantage of all the privileges of being male (which they are not thoughtful or self-aware enough to recognize that they have) while claiming to be female.
In the same way, this woman is doing something that most women are able to do without even thinking about it: stepping casually into a conversation with members of her own sex where she can be vulnerable and examine her feelings about her relationship with her father, without any fear that she will be judged or shot down or seen in an unflattering light for openly expressing these feelings. It
hasn't occurred to her that this is not the case for most men. Fish don't know they're wet, and this FtM does not know that she is still swimming in a female social structure. And yet she thinks she's a man.
