Not everyone who got the jab is a Thinker by default. A Thinker, you must understand, is someone who lets the world know he is not beholden to anyone.

Bobby is a Chinkaboo; I presume he is at least acquainted with the Chinese idea of "face", if not the development on this concept by sociologist Erving Goffman (who is indeed cited in the
The Atlantic article). What is depicted in this article is a very good example of what Goffman called "
facework". Orange Cats understands it. Bobby's woke posturing is another example of facework: he attempts to maintain his dignity in the eyes of people he thinks matter to him, by signaling that he is on the same pulse as them. Unfortunately, as you can see in the replies, his facework fails.
One reason that Bobby's faceworks fail is that everyone already knows he is a hypocrite: he has associated with people like Devin Faraci yet he postures as a moral purist.
Bobby white-knights Shaun of Breadtube.
- Shaun's OP ("most millennials would willingly sacrifice their standard of living for environment's sake") is of course baseless and absurd; you can tell from the sales of electronics and other fashionable "objects of desire". If Bobby believes that hand-puppetry will make Shaun sounds sane, he is more deluded than I think.
- "Means of production", of course, has a specific meaning in Marxism. I cannot be sure if Fel is using the term correctly, but I doubt Bobby can tell.
- "...NO good worthwhile person..." , by now you should be familiar with Bobby-speak so I don't need to elaborate.
Fel isn't the only person who criticizes Shaun's "degrowth" grand plan:
"He blocked me yet I must defend his honor!". This is another piece of Bobby's "facework" that will go unappreciated.
The Democrats smell blood and are sharpening their teeth:
Bobby mansplains a bisexual Democrat woman:
That someone, especially someone dead for 250 years, doesn't approve of your current lifestyle doesn't imply that person must have been wrong in every way.
And has America really jailed, tortured and executed women for being lesbians?
The Sunday Times (
archive) observes that Hollywood is turning back from star-based operation in favor of franchise-base operation, and Matt Damon has voiced his concern.
What Bobby said tells me three things:
1. He is racist and sexist as fuck. We know that only too well.
2. He thinks the hacks writing for MCU/Disney are the fount of innovative ideas. Perhaps he even thinks there can't be good ideas outside franchises.
3. He thinks all that a film conveys are down to the "idea guys", that actors don't contribute to the concept or idea of a film. He is unable to comprehend how good actors inhabit the role they play, thus bring out aspects of the those roles unsuspected by the director or the writer. Think about it, we never hear Bobby appraising an actor's performance: he is, for example, obsessed with The Red Guardian, but we don't hear him commenting how David Harbour plays the role.
More Matt Damon:
How are we supposed to face the shame of our more-ignorant forebears?
Despite having outraged some people (probably not that many to be honest), no one "canceled" those who have worked for
Soul Man. This alone tells us that the 1980s was a more enlightened time than today.
Police Academy is bad because it is a satire of affirmative action.
