Well in all fairness the protestors are rioting because the former Prime Minister was charged and jailed.
I'm pretty sure if Trump got charged and then jailed, we'd likely see violence. Now of course some would use the excuse for violence, but there would also be a select section of them that would feel in all honesty that Trump would have been set up and it was unjust.
At least it wasn't a protest without some rationale. And I do hear the work hard and party hard in S.A. If it isn't excessive alcohol and music, it's tire necklaces
Paul Simon also got all sorts of shit from western leftists for recording Graceland, arguably one of the greatest albums of the 20th century, in South Africa at the height of the state of emergency in 1985 - with mostly black musicians no less, whom he gave writing credits and royalties too. He couldn’t have been more respectful to the culture but he was still raked over the coals by lefties in the U.S. and U.K.Just a reminder that Queen were total chads and performed in apartheid South Africa, much to the chagrin of other musicians like Springsteen or Hall & Oates. Freddie Mercury famously stated that they perform shows for fans regardless of what country they live in, since the fans are more important than their governments.
It is rumored he was being charged as being black. Of course, there are dozens of articles on-line about his real charges if you're willing to take a peak. What corruption is Zuma being accused of?
SAPS is known for being utterly shit. They're either (a) incompetent, (b) corrupt or (c) both. There's a reason why so many South Africans, black and white, pay for private security services. On a positive note im shocked to see the police force is mostly still white. I wonder if its a trust issue
If I were him, I would take my patrol car and drive until I reach the other end of the continent. If you want to see just a tiny glimmer of hope, along with a warts-and-all look at South Africa, check out Anton Koen on YT. He owns a private security firm just outside of Johannesburg that specialises in intercepting and retrieving hijacked vehicles. His patrol car, a VW Golf R 7.5, sounds badass too.

He could have easily buggered off to Australia years ago (like many other white South Africans did), but he's too patriotic to do that. I have a feeling that Anton's faith gets him through; you can hear gospel music on his car stereo in some of his earlier vids and Christianity is huge in South Africa. I'm guessing he got one of those demonetised at some point, which is why the Golf R provides the soundtrack now.If I were him, I would take my patrol car and drive until I reach the other end of the continent.
Paul Simon going to South Africa and recording Graceland when everyone else in the music biz was chimping out against Apartheid is the most based thing he's ever done. It's also his best album IMHO.When in doubt, do the precise opposite of what celebrities tell you to do.

As long as it takes for someone to remember to blame Trump. How long after the collapse are we predicting nogs will be sitting around in the dirt starving to death and howling at the international community for gibs? My bet is two weeks.
There’s actually around 4-5 million whites in South Africa, and if you want to include the rest of the continent, there’s around 6-7 million white Africans in all. Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Malawi, southern Mozambique and Angola still have sizable white minorities, but they’ve faired much better in recent years, particularly in Botswana as always. Honestly surprised more rural whites haven’t skipped the border into Botswana, where they’re largely safe and prosperous.Indeed.
Would be interesting to see what part the 800,000 or so White people get.
His persistence is honourable but is SA still worth being patriotic about? I am not as informed about SA as I am about other conflicts, but I don’t think they will ever recover or go back to their golden days (economically speaking). The very structure of the nation has radically changed over the years. He could have easily buggered off to Australia years ago (like many other white South Africans did), but he's too patriotic to do that. In short, he sold the government's institutions, infrastructure, and capital to the Guptas, a billionaire family of Pajeet opportunists who set up up shop in the country after the end of white minority rule. They literally had to coin a brand new term for this type of graft (state capture), since it's so much vaster in scope and scale than anything else that came before. What corruption is Zuma being accused of?
The Boer and Afrikaner people will lose their identity within a generation or two if they uproot themselves from African soil. Their bilingualism makes the especially susceptible to assimilation when emigrating to Anglo countries. It's happened before in their history, 120 years ago with the Boer exile colonies in Argentina and America, and they remember what happened then. If they want to survive as a people, they have to stay in Africa. If they want to survive as individuals, they have to leave Africa. It's a paradox that is difficult to reconcile. His persistence is honourable but is SA still worth being patriotic about? Graceland is a five-star classic, and The Boy in the Bubble is one of the strongest album openers recorded. Rhythm of the Saints was a spectacular follow-up album (Obvious Child!) but criminally underrated, though that’s understandable since it had Graceland to live up to.He could have easily buggered off to Australia years ago (like many other white South Africans did), but he's too patriotic to do that.
