War Biden: Federal Vaccination Effort Will Go ‘Door to Door’ to Get People COVID-19 Shots - No, I'm not gonna get your stupid ass jab

President Joe Biden on Tuesday said that the federal government's vaccination efforts will shift from mass vaccination sites to "literally knocking on doors" in some instances to get people inoculated against the coronavirus.

"We are continuing to wind down the mass vaccination sites that did so much in the spring to rapidly vaccinate those eager to get their first shot and their second shot for that matter, if they needed a second," Biden said in the South Court Auditorium at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building near the White House. "Now we need to go to community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood, and oft times door to door – literally knocking on doors – to get help to the remaining people protected from the virus."

Biden's message came after he fell short of his July 4 vaccination goal to reach 70% of U.S. adults with at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose. The figure currently stands at just over 67%.

The Biden administration hopes to address concerns causing vaccine hesitancy with its more targeted approach to communities. But it's unclear how the door-to-door strategy will be received – especially among the 10% of unvaccinated adults who cited conspiracy theories or misinformation about the vaccines, skepticism of drug companies or general anti-government or anti-vaccine sentiment in a Morning Consult poll that asked why they won't get the shot.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 55% of the entire U.S. population is at least partially vaccinated against the coronavirus.

But Biden urged more people to get the shot as the highly transmissible delta variant spreads. The variant makes up about 25% of new coronavirus cases in the U.S. and is expected to become the dominant strain in the coming weeks.

"Right now, as I speak to you, millions of Americans are still unvaccinated and unprotected," Biden said. "And because of that their communities are at risk, their friends are at risk, the people they care about are at risk. This is an even bigger concern because of the delta variant."

He said the variant should "cause everybody to think twice" but specifically the "young people who may have thought that they didn't have to be vaccinated."

Future federal efforts to get people vaccinated during the summer will put a focus on communities, including making the shots available at local pharmacies, family doctors' offices and worksites when possible, Biden said.

Fuck around and find out Joe. I guess "My Body My Choice" only applies to babies in the womb.

You're the one who is a retard who doesn't believe in science
>I want to wait and see more data
>WTF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN HECKIN SCIENCE

She sure can vote for whoever she wants, but she is obviously lying about being a liberal.
Why would someone lie about their political standings on here of all places? No one stands to gain anything from it.

There is a good explanation for the discrepancy you are observing, it should be readily apparent to anyone paying moderate attention to politics the last 5 or so years.

Good Luck Fellow Kiwi. I hope they are less annoying than census takers:
I actually anwesered the door for one of those shit stains in 2010. He wanted my SSI number. The funny thing is that out of four decades he was the only one to contact me. So can we really trust the numbers?
I wonder how many people have tried to get these people to go away by threatening to eat their liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti?

You know what the best way to make someone trust something you want them to take? Repeatedly insist they take it with varying degrees of intensity, and insult them if they show hesitation or refuse to take it.

If we know for a fact that the feds were fine with both MKUltra and the Tuskegee Syphilis Study, among other similar events, there is a good chance that they'd try something similar with at least some of these vaccines.

Whenever I see a vaccine thread gain 20 pages in less than 24 hrs, I know some great autistic slap fights involving HHH are therein. Never disappoints.

Speculation time: my assumption at this point is the U.S. government made some sort of legally binding deal with the pharmaceutical companies to entice them to participate in Operation Warp Speed and create experimental, untested (by conventional standards) vaccines.

Manufacturers of vaccines are already not legally liable for the inevitable disastrous outcomes that happen in a handful of cases with all vaccines. But they would still probably have balked at this plan. The government must have told them as part of this deal that they would not push any other therapies that made it harder for the vaccine manufacturers to recoup the enormous costs of rapid development through mass vaccine deployment.

It's all I can figure that explains the behavior we're seeing. Aside from Democrats being power-hungry and power-mad authoritarians, of course.

Usually not the conspiracy theory type, but this would explain why everyone seemed to make a concerted effort to downplay hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment even though it showed promise.

People lie about things all the time on here. There's autistics who do so in an attempt at a "GOTCHA!". I guess I will start calling myself a conservative then since we can call ourselves whatever we want.

You are literally quoting someone who has lied about some embarrassing thing or another they've said on KF in the past. The irony is palpable.
I am a newfag and don't really care to dig into people's post history unless they are enough of a sped to get their own thread. I have no idea what you are referring to.

The rush at Trump’s insistence makes me feel like they could’ve missed something in testing.
This is something ardent defender of this vax always overlook. The vaccine being had tremendous political pressure from both aisles due to it being an election year. Trump wanted it ASAP and the Dems wanted it out after Nov 3rd. That amount of pressure would be felt at every level down to the individual workers. Tack on the financial incentives, and there is undoubtedly an insane amount of tom-fuckery that went on during development.

If you think people are arguing in such poor faith as to lie about their own beliefs, why even engage? I don't even think that's the case though, the simpler answer is that the political alignments have shift tremendously since Trump started his campaign. Even more so if you look back to the late 00s. Equality has shifted to a value of the right wing, and to some degree is being slandered as an alt-right virtue. Liberal values of a decade ago are now conservative values.

Compound that with many major events happening that would give people a chance to revaluate their beliefs, many are not sure where they stand or who they should back. People are still figuring that out.

They don't exist. It's a public contract that exists to serve the Powers that Be, because otherwise, the plebes tend to be very violent and get their (TPTB) heads on chopping blocks.
Are you saying that switching our money from the Gold Standard to the “Clap if you believe” standard was just a test of the fungibility of larger social contracts?

Because brother, I agree.

Heh..yeah, they were more than fine with all of it. The only reason you know about the first one in particular is thanks to a FOIA request in the 70s that saved the data prior to it being destroyed. The Senate had to act all surprised and run a hearing on the information to placate the public. You'll never guess who was on the intelligence (lmao) committee to review it at the time:

I hope you're all nice and fucking skeptical of the intent behind the vaccine now if you weren't already.

There's no label in existence that would make you less of a miserable pissant and whiny jackass, that's a "you" problem
