Yeah, that was one of the biggest rumors about this, and it seemingly is now confirmed -- Vic was going to become Sabat, Monica, and Marchi's boss. That's why they HAD to strike when they did, because he would have put an end to their bullshit. Doubly so with the Broly movie being the most successful DB movie ever (by a lot!). He would have had a lot of clout and a mandate to do whatever he wanted to the Funimation VA production line. No more casting couch. No more random bullshit politics being shoved into things. They would actually be held to something resembling a standard.

Makes me wonder if they knew Marzgurl was gonna spew her shit and conspired to time it with her, or they were just waiting for the constant chorus of bullshit from the female-incel tumblrinas would repeat and jumped in on it when it did.

They need to clean house and cut ties with them all. I’m not a weeb, but I remember DBZ from the late 90’s on Toonami, so ocean dub was better, anyway.

Vic was railroaded, but I think this court case will end with him losing and paying up the court fees.

I disagree, mainly due to the other TCPA case that the appeals court recently ruled on. If Vic's case is held to the same standard, he'll make it past TCPA. How it'll go after that I'm not gonna try to predict, but he's got more than a decent shot if this gets in front of a jury.

I cannot IMAGINE Sony allows this in front of a jury. If it gets past TCPA they'll settle.

Vic is another victim of the "listen and believe" ideology.
It is interesting how minorities, in this case, women in the US, can't shut the fuck up about how they are mistreated in their own country, how society tends to undervalue them, to treat them as second grade citizens.

Yet, the reality is, society, public opinion even the judicial system, tend to favor women a lot more than men.
Vic had no chance to defend himself, people quickly jumped on him with no evidence, he was blacklisted, all because he is a man. People believe in his "victims" for no other reason but because they are women. For such "unfair" society towards women, it looks like women are significantly more protected and get a lot more biased treatment than men.

This entire situation is just heartbreaking. I can’t believe he’s that strong, in all honesty. If any of these accusations were leveled against me, even if they weren’t true like for Vic, I’d probably crack with so many people in my life saying so. I genuinely hope he gets the proper compensation and apology he deserves. Fuck Monica tho, Mo-niggas don’t fuck with Monica.

Vic confirms he was offered a spot as a director at Funimation right when everything went down, which sure makes it seem like Sabat, Marchi, and Rial fucked with him to keep their clique in power since Vic was poised to be their boss. Gay chat says gay shit. Vic is very kind throughout and consistently denies having any ill will towards any of those who have wronged him. Vic says he offered to settle for just having Funimation remove the tweet, they refused. Vic confirms that everyone involved (apart from Toye) was friendly right up until the allegations. Vic confirms that Toye was just an acquaintance that he never spoke to for more than 10 minutes prior to Jan 16th. Vic is still getting lucrative work outside of VA through conventions and meetups, and is doing well.
