Seems to me like she doesn't realize entirely that others think differently than her, and when she have to face with it, she is in shock. Theory of Mind issues are very common in autism (which I still don't think she has, if multiple doctors won't confirm it and they have only surface-level knowledge of their interests) and, presumably, other developmental disorders, or even from being born to a drug-affected mother. However, those with difficulty understanding Theory of Mind can and do learn to understand it - it just takes realising this issue (self-awareness) and putting in the work to change it; neither of which Yarrow wants to do. So...
