I'm just surprise that they still open an audition. I think the 5th Gen didnt really grew that much (there's also that timing with HoloID Gen 2 yikes!). Overall... I didnt quite like the model, but still optimistic to see more of their personality if they finally debut.

Just playing Ina's current chat stream in the background and she just addressed the permissions issue regarding a question about the Cover - Square Enix agreement.

She mentioned asking "staff-san" about whether she can play Square Enix games and she was informed that they would have to wait "a little longer" due to permissions working differently depending on the region.

We usually get questions on this thread about why the JP can play certain titles while the EN girls can't and this pretty much confirms it. Stream's still ongoing and I'm paraphrasing from what she said but it's around 8-10 minutes into the stream. I'll go back once the stream ends and post a timestamped link to her addressing the question.

Ina: "There's so many I wanna play but... I actually asked staff-san if we can play Square Enix games yet but seems like we gotta wait a little bit longer. Yes, but apparently the permits dont work like that, that is why no one has played any Shin Megami Tensei or Persona game

SEGA can give permissions for their titles but not for their subsidiaries (which is what ATLUS is).
Sucks because Ina name dropped Shin Megami Tensei and I would love to see her play Nocturne or DDS.

Atlus HAVE given Nijisanji permission to play the PC port of Persona 4 Golden, though, as Hana Macchia and Noor both played it (though they were instructed not to stream 'the ending' which is a fucking nebulous statement given that the game ends 7 times).

To add to this, the reason Atlus likely never gave Calli permission is because Persona 3 is not yet on a platform that they can offer to people who may be interested from her stream yet. I think we will get a PC port sometime soon.

Atlus and their Draconian laws have always been like that, and even though they seldom enforce their nonsense rules on YouTube, these V-Tubers are representing a Japanese company on Japanese turf and have to play by the rules.
