That's what I try to argue with my friend. Communism has NEVER worked out for people who are typically progressive and non-traditional. I'm sure Karl Marx has made some good points but I feel that there's a massive chunk of information they're purposefully leaving out.

I think what's behind the veganism, transitioning and proselytizing for both is the same: she's one of those dyed-in-the-wool social justice activists who truly wants to "save the world" and feels a relentless compulsion to do so, but has also got an exhibitionist streak--all actors are attention whores deep down. The problem is she's socially awkward and doesn't know how to handle that additional attention when she does get it, so she withers under the spotlight.
To troons and adjacent individuals, communism = I don't have to work/I get to do whatever I want for work. Also, they believe a lot of their "oppression" is caused by reactionary thinking in institutions. (e.g. institutions enforcing the gender binary, teaching people vaginas are different than inverted penises, etc.) They believe that after these institutions are rebuilt from the ground-up under communism, people will no longer treat them different from actual women because the "brainwashing" will no longer be there.
