It's not a difficult concept to grasp. If you don't vote at all, either the party that lost will assume you couldn't make it for some reason and the party that won will figure you didn't didn't feel it was necessary to show up to vote for them or that you would've had you the time.
Or, even better, you can be one of the lucky people who much like the dead have someone vote in your name without you knowing. Either way, not voting at all is simply letting whatever supposition the parties up for election want to fill in as to why you didn't vote instead of actually expressing dissatisfaction with the system in a tangible way. If you don't like the system, vote in a way that doesn't lend itself to the people in the system you dislike. Otherwise you're ignored in the worst possible way and used as a talking point to further their aims.

I don't live in Burgerland, can someone explain how this trial could possibly be considered fair when you have high level politicians weighing in on what they think the verdict should be? Here, cases are thrown out for much less.

Lol that was quick as fuck. Now i'm leaning towards full conviction, probably based on fear of reprisal. At least a full conviction would give him better grounds for appeal.
