Most of these are okay designs as the sticker sheet this isn't except for that orange Gem Empire reject to just the left of center, made worse by her prominence.

Now I’ll post the worst redesigns I’ve ever seen. Fair warning, not gonna post Jake Long, I don’t actually dislike that show’s art shift. These ones can’t possibly get enough hate.

Salem’s never really had a great design by any means, especially for RWBY standards,

Pretty run of the mill “Dark Mistress pulling the background strings” character (why people consider her one of the best villains not just in the show, but fiction in general is beyond me), but then Volume 8 comes around and her design goes from generic to bad.

By all means not the worst designs in this thread (or even this specific part of the show), but the bone armor on her arms look dumb, the broach is a weird addition, her shoulders don’t make sense, and her tits look weird in every forward-facing shot.
Her design was never anything to write home about before, but this new looks she’s sporting just looks like shit in comparison. Especially when I actually like a lot of this show’s designs.

Teenager is not the right word, he’s been aging backwards for the most part. He seemed to age up in XY, then went way backwards ever since.

I have not watched it in a while but I will give props to ok ko for being kinda different, give background characters an inkling of depth, reference shit properly and have better animation/character design then the entirety of SU. The bar is low but, could be worse

Enid's mom was unexpected, even i will admit. She gives me mexican Elvira/Morica vibes and throws the removal of tits/Ms bellum from ppg, argument, out the window as several other ok ko female characters are brick houses.

I never understood the hate for Omniverse as it felt more like the original series then the ben 10 in HS series with the same artstyle as most shows at that time.
The art style was a breath of fresh air, had cool aliens instead of using alien x every single time and Rook was fun. Like a slightly pg 13 lethal weapon/ men in black.

=Then again i grew up with the og series and was the age demographic of, grew up on samurai jack/dexter lab, and also in the toon lul of happy friendship shows and live action schlock.
