Hmm.. now that the subject of "where is the money going?" has actually been broached, I wonder if any of Kev's mutuals will take the next step to inquire if he contributes anything other than money to the tranch? Sure, contributing a good chunk money towards rent and... other expenses (?) is all well and good, but considering the others paint this venture as a sort of co-op/commune sort of activity, you'd think there would be regular physical duties SEPERATE from any monetary contribution. I know folks in the thread have generally speculated about this subject before, thinking that maybe Penny has given Kevin an out from physical labor as their pet or slave or whatever, but how is this arrangement viewed in the eyes of Kevin himself or the others at the ranch that at least put in a minimum amount of daily labor? I will say that while $1000/mo in is small change compared to living on ones own in a liberal area, the more realistic cost for a similar living situation in a more urban environment would be $400-500/mo for a room in a shared house (which would be more privacy than he's getting now!). So while I suppose one could argue that he's paying extra in exchange for not doing certain physical labor duties, that really doesn't jive with their wannabe commune rhetoric. And, as anyone who's lived with housemates can tell you, paying more rent does not excuse you from being a total fucking slob.
Obviously it isn't kosher to ask this shit directly, but I can lowkey hope that the more skeptical trans folks who find this thread start to question exactly how this ranch operates and where their funds are going. I have a feeling misused expenses are part of the reason they don't turn it into a non-profit entity because that would require some amount of transparency with regards to funding and I'm sure they know that wouldn't be a good look. Also they're probably just shit at accounting in general.

$10k if you're getting some kind of rare Type 3 clone. That isn't an AK47, it's an AKM, and they're not rare at all. The current rate for a rock bottom decent one is about $1099 due to the covid panic buying. They used to be much, much cheaper.
And you forget, this is the US. There is no such thing as "limited number" unless it's something truly exotic or something that just wasn't produced in great numbers. The AKM is the most mass produced firearm on the planet.

Why no, I dont care about having a quality rifle with high end parts, no, I dont care about having NVGs for night time, no I do not care about having plates and carriers for my partners and employees. There's plenty of high quality AKs with high end parts out there, they just cost a lot more than $1000. You're sure as hell not going to get NVGs for $1,000 or even a decent set of plates and a carrier.
And 7.62x39 is everywhere. Even domestic manufacturers make it, just in brass case for some retarded reason.

My point was more about commonality, for what Penny does, there isnt really a need to get an AK other then being a gun enthusiast, which he claims he isnt. And yeah no, NVGs arent that cheap but if youre already gonna drop a g on gun related shit, may as well save for something more useful, hell you can even get a good lid for 1g. And ehh, yeah no quality plates that are light with a carrier will be around 1600 total but still not crazy if youre already going to drop 1 g on a gun with no extra mags.
Honestly I didnt know 7.62 was that common, granted I never look so thats my bad. Ill change my gripe to, why the fuck would you want a heavier round.

And x39 is good for taking out engine blocks in a pinch if you need to. Most people don't think in terms of logistics or weight though, they think in rule of cool or "I want this"..
