Its weird that "Affirming" their identity (aka giving in to their mental illness/delusion) has no effect on their suicide rate, yet its "Effective".
If you try to point out it doesn't work you are a transphobe even if your whole point is "I don't want them killing them selves". And yet any other mental illness treatment is to get you back in to reality.

There might be a superficial effect in that they’re temporary happy due to the extra clout and love bombing they get from their social justice peers but it doesn’t solve any of their underlying issues.

It's a bandaid and some topical painkillers over a festering wound. Yeah, it looks better and it feels better for a while, but it changes nothing in the long run. In fact, it makes it worse because the individual sees no need to treat the wound anymore. They just get a new one between their legs.

Wasn't Jim one of, if not the primary, "critics" to also start up the "Entitled Gamer Manbabies" cry when the shitstorm that is ME3 dropped? "How dare the plebs criticize game devs, they are creating ART, it cannot be criticized!" type shit?

I seem to recall that, because I remember there was a moment back around then wehn a lot of his goodwill got flushed even with his fans.

I think the counselors are pushing it. It's the hip new progressive cause and saying "maybe we shouldn't be validating people's delusions and giving them hormones that fuck with their mental state" will get you treated as a literal Nazi.

I think it's moreso the fact that going through the whole list of medical surgeries to troon out, and knowing that you'll be getting online asspats and validation for both it and all your neuroses automatically (because anyone that doesn't do so is an -ist and a phobe and a bigot), is just a lot easier than regularly attending long-term psychotherapy IRL to self-critically deal with whatever mental disorder you have and stick with doing that consistently for years.

Why better yourself, when you can troon yourself and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you'll have other mentally ill people validate you for your 'stunning and brave' choice? And then there's the quacks like the above poster notes that yea - will validate them IRL too, without even considering alternative causes, like the fact that a mental disorder that causes severe identity issues might, JUST MIGHT, be contributing a lot more to a person's dysphoria rather than them needing trans surgery and hormones.

But eh...America has always been the country where people prefer to take pills, thinking that's any kind of substitute for hard work on your own mental health, so it really seems inevitable this would hit it harder than most other countries. So in conclusion - this fits perfectly with Jimbolina being a lazy fat piece of gendertrash who thinks popping this shit and putting on a wig and a makeup is all that needs to be done to fix his slide into irrelevancy.
