Not sure if serious or confusing terms. Biden has been talking about Equity. That is everything is shared out between everone evenly. We're talking about Equality. That is everyone gets the same opportunities and plays by the same rules.

I don't think in any realistic way the two things are compatible - people have different abilities, different work ethics, different ambitions and goals. I think the only way you could bring about equity is through treating people very unequally.

I could see the Dem establishment throwing Melvin under the bus in public, while using the incident to push more regulation that benefits their buddies while acting like progressive heroes. The whole "RSB are secret Nazis OY VEY!" smear sounds like something out of Murdoch Murdoch that wouldn't sell well. At least with the Capitol storming you had Zip Tie Guy and the Confederate Flag to base the demonisation on.

The only way you can pass equity is by being unfair to the average joe. They know this and want it.

Equality is what we should strive for, but people are too dumb and stupid to look past simple shit.

I don't get why people think the calls of antisemitism mean Jews rule the world. It's the most classic neoliberal deflection in the fucking world: Lip service to social issues in order to pander to dumb suburban liberals.
