Turns out, you have to wait until you actually win to turn. What are they gonna do? Un-elect you? Not vote for you again? At his age and stature, you'd probably be out the door before the end of your term.

It's still not a good thing for China Joe to be doing that when he's trying to be a so-called "healer" and "unifier". It's not going to de-escalate anything or make anyone like him more.
 
My opinion of this whole ordeal is changing each moment I hear updates on this.

Generally speaking, I have no sympathy for anybody involved with that event.

Trump engaged and initiated this whole mess with his rhetoric, then backtracked to save his own ass. He basically left his own supporters hung to dry to deal with the mess.

Yet, his supporters willingly put themselves in that position and staged a high profile "coup" to contest the results of the election. In reality, all they did was storm the place and take pictures. WTF was their end goal? All they did was expedite the objection results to elect Biden.

Even worse, they painted a bigger target on themselves while waiting for Trump to address them further. Likely, he'll just pardon himself. It's rather disturbing that they're trying to martyr that lady. You don't mess with Secret Service.

The politicians in that building were scared shitless. Good. They've done next to nothing to help Americans during the pandemic. Quite a pain to see your city burn to flames, lose your job, while they live comfortably in their own bubbles.

maybe one day people will realize the entire point of elections, the electoral process, checks and balances, and government institutions more broadly is that politicians are not people you are supposed to trust, and those institutions are the means by why you leverage your lack of faith in a single thing they do through

I don't know what's difficult to understand.

He doesn't need to try. He doesn't need to do anything anymore. All he needs to do is be white and die. The news media will carry his water, and when they're not carrying his water, they'll be using Wednesday's events to tar anything resembling effectual conservatism (never mind that Wednesday was not an example of such, as the point is to cow conservatives into doing precisely nothing).

The man's set. He's ready to play domestic PR on recruit difficulty. Which means he's playing international PR on recruit difficulty. And if Kamala becomes president at any point, she'll be playing on playthrough difficulty.
