Maybe it’s just me (and to be fair I’ve only watched Kate’s vid as they won’t play on my phone) but this is the most patient, non interrupting phone calls I’ve ever heard. Why is Norma even letting her speak? I’d be talking over that shite so quick the whole thing would be a shouty mess ending in a sweary hang up. What am I missing here? It’s obv them but.. I dunno. Maybe folks are really calm down South! (and yes, I’m now taking the meds).

As a narc, I highly doubt she is involved in releasing the audios. She is all about image control and hates to be confronted with her own selfishness and self centeredness.

1. If it REALLY bothers her, she won't say anything, at least for awhile and then over a live stream she will get triggered and spew forth a rant. After the rant if she is tired and feeling smug, she will make a joke that everyone leaving haydur comments just made her more money from engagement so the joke is on YOU.

2 Or, she will say we don't know the background of it.

3. Or she will say that she isn't going to discuss it to "respect Becky's mom".

4. Or that "You didn't hear the things that were being said to me"

5. Or she will pick out one little, inconsequential point, try to make it a big point and make the whole thing about that small point.

this right here. if we’re going with the assumption that amber is a narcissist, which she absolutely is, it wouldn’t make any sense for her to collaborate with ann to bring negative attention to herself. she goes out of her own way to convince people that she isn’t an incredibly selfish person and has only admitted to such behavior in self pitying ways in the past.

as someone who has dealt personally with narcissists, i’m pretty sure everything you predicted is going to happen. amber is going to victimize and deflect hard. i don’t see her giving a genuine apology to becky’s family, either. i didn’t even like NJ but the audio was pretty terrible, can’t imagine how i would feel if i actually cared about her.

also: wasn’t amber supposed to be going to a memorial for NJ this past weekend or something? if that’s the case, i could see there being a lot of drama there as a result of the audio. i know if i was ann doran i would have shown the family those clips first, and it seems likely that becky’s sister was the one who helped leak it.

It irritates me more than it should that Amber was expecting to be thanked and worshipped for money she hadn't yet given as well as continually thanked for stuff she'd paid for in the past. It's poor etiquette*. If you're going to give money, do so and forget about it. If you agree to give money, do so then forget about it. If you're going to obsess about evey penny that left your hand, maybe don't give it in the first place.

Oh ok. Insurance but not TriCare, right? I thought the whole thing of why this blew up in Hamberlynn's face was because Norma would have been taken care of by the military.

Not TriCare, as they never married. When it first came out that Norma had cancer, there was speculation that the reason she and Jerry never married was because Norma was on some sort of government benefits program and would stop receiving those benefits had she married. It's likely that she was on Medicaid but I'm not sure that was ever confirmed.

I think about this every day, for some reason.

Unless it's something that applies to your own life, a dead woman's healthcare situation is probably not something you should be thinking about on a daily basis.
