I think this sets a legal precedent with the swing states. If/when this goes to the federal courts.
CA did indeed pass a bill regarding mail-in ballots, whereas PA, MI, WI, and GA did not.
Also, if the California GOP had any spine, then this would be the perfect time for them to call for an audit.

Maybe? Given that California is a safe state for Biden, isn't one of those evil Southern flyover states that the bearded bugmen hate so much, and the MSM is more likely to think it won't help Trump, it could get more coverage and get a lot of people asking a lot more questions.
For what it's worth, Fox News is covering it, as opposed to Breitbart or Newsmax. If CNN or MSNBC brings it up, then it's probably going to be more of a potential issue than you might think.
One of those things that's a nothingburger on its own but can be cited in an actual case or happening.
I get you're dooming to the extreme to the point of coming across as a gimmick poster and believe me, I've already made my peace with the very likely chance that we'll be under a Biden Administration/Kamala Regime and I've got my contingencies in place.
But I'm not going to go full doomer and hide in the woods until after we know how the courts will rule. This could be a case of whether or not normality resumes again to where Biden will be sworn in or 2020's sheer insanity goes full circle and Trump's unusual luck will kick in again at the last possible nanosecond and he narrowly gets the win via the courts.
But this could be a little bigger than you might think. California's still very much a lock for Biden but this might help as a reference or precedent for the actual cases in Pennsylvania and elsewhere and could help with the popular vote in a hypothetical (and unlikely) scenario of a Trump win.

He'd be very stupid to do that, even if he could. Removing the 22nd means Obama could run again. Also means that Bush (not that he'd want to), Clinton (not that he'd want to) or even Carter (not that he'd be able to) could also run again.
Democratic Party is in a death spiral because they don't have another Obama waiting in the wings. If Trump removes the term limits, Obama's a relatively young man and could easily be President for Life.

I’m pretty sure Trump isn’t going to do that because he said he won’t rule by fiat and dishing out EOs. Also, if it goes to the states, no way flyover country lets that get get approved.

I don’t think the president should get term limits if the senate doesn’t. It does open the possibility of tyrannical rule, but I’m not really cool with the legislature draining executive power without checking their own.

It does affect the results. Maybe not in Commiefornia where state legislature later enacted a law to the same effect of Newsom's order, but in other states where state legislature did no such thing. They've got legal precedent now to say 'only state legislature has the authority to make rulings regarding mail-in ballots'
