To be honest, I'm not even keeping up with the tallies for the states anymore because they're essentially irrelevant, now. Joe Biden isn't going to concede the election and neither is Donald Trump, so even if the votes suddenly swing 100% in one direction and turn the country into a magical, landslide victory for either side, they're not going to back down. It's going to the courts and there's nothing that can be done to stop it.

The good news is that Trump spent most of his presidency violently reshaping the judiciary with Skull Throne while no one really paid it any attention, and he just got a new Supreme Court Justice since Ruth banged her knee on her philactary. The bad news is that we're in for an extended period of incoherent, angry shrieking and more cities and businesses are probably going to get smashed up in the interim.

I would have preferred a crushing defeat or an uncontested victory. This stalemate is going to suck and it's the most annoying outcome that could have possibly happened because no matter which way it swings from there, the other side isn't going to buy it. The Republicans won't believe Democrats won fairly, Democrats won't believe Republicans won fairly, it's just going to be four straight years of fucking screaming about ballot harvesting fraud or the illegitimacy of the Supreme Court's decision.
Do you have any idea about when the lawsuits may be filed? I'm not sure if the Trump campaign will wait until the results are "finalized" or if they are going to file today.

Man fuck this gay earth I'm going back to bed

HK-47 is right and we are stuck in hell

He's said he's getting lawsuits ready before even election day started, to the typical cries of FASCISM

True, I guess that's a divide by zero huh.

The horrifying part is how casual people are about it.
>oh haha those wacky corrupt chicago Boys, aren't they wild?
I think it's because we magically think our democracy is better than one like Brazil or something like that. But, as such, we don't put any real meaningful and necessary barriers on who can vote and when. Like, we fucking have mail-in ballots (not absentee ballots, which are frankly fine for those people who can't be at a polling station on election day). I don't think ANY other nation in the free world has that because they are so prone to being lost, being "lost" and general fraud occurring. I'm also sure any person from the democracies of Ancient Greece to the Founding Fathers would look at that and see it is such an obvious security risk that you shouldn't have that in an election at all.The fact that this could happen is proof that we need better election security by getting rid of those things we perpetuate that make them vulnerable in the first place.

People are not dumb when they have correct info. There was enough reporting happening last night before they just STOPPED counting and recalibrated with fake ballots, that enough people were paying attention to - it won't just be forgotten.
Never underestimate how willing people are to overlook obvious facts when it benefits them.

I expect a 269 split to be settled in Trump's favor.
There's no path to 269 unless NE-2 somehow flips.
more cities and businesses are probably going to get smashed up in the interim.
They voted for it and keep voting for it tbh

It's likely done to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the election.

From higher than that?

No, it was under 8k earlier.

Should have known the second they think Biden has 270 they'd suddenly find the ability to call an election again.

Kamala was half a step from crying going up against Mike Pence. What is she going to accomplish?

...never mind, I don't wanna know.
Xi Jinping must be already rubbing his hands with glee. These two gonna be pushovers and he knows it.

MI is back down to a 14k Biden lead. Assuming Monroe votes exactly as it did in 2016 (54% Trump), we'll likely see the lead drop to somewhere around 2-3k, but so far it's at 61% Trump. I'm expecting it to get to the recount threshold which is 2k votes in MI.

The thing is that for the establishment, it doesn't extinguish Trump populism, as it's moreso an indictment that they're not playing fair, than the fact America has rejected Trump. It won't stop the media from trying to cast the latter as the cause, though.

They should have either gone full on 60% Biden victory if they were going to compromise this election, not this awful contested 50-50 result.

There needs to be a sad reading.

And yes a muddled race is the worst outcome cause it legitimizes more fighting and leads to further destruction of civil society
