If Chloe was living in Europe you would have had a point about how her (alleged) ethnicity puts her in a disadvantage. In terms of the trans community - I interact with trans people more often than most of you here, including most of the other trans people. And I'm not all that fringe or extreme at all. Some trans people I know tend to isolate themselves a bit due to negative experience - I don't do that.

I don't let being trans define me either. I am a great many things beside that, and I rarely bring it up in every day life. But it's still part of me, and there's no point pretending it doesn't significantly affect the life I've lived. I don't believe it's shameful, and I don't believe in apologising for it or sucking up to people who attack people like me.
