I think if he was going to snap to that extent, he'd be far more likely to try and kill one of his accusers than himself. Narcissistic predators of this extent would be far more likely to try and extract vengeance than just take a quick way out.

The only way he'd be likely to an hero is after a standoff with the cops surrounding the building he's barricaded in when he realizes he really isn't gonna be able to talk his way out of going to jail.

I think the likelihood of this happening is pretty low, though. He's a creep, a predator, and quite likely a sociopath, but nothing I've heard or seen says he's likely to go Here's Johnny on someone's front door.
