Uhh I do not think that is how Gamepass works.

A used XB1X in good condition will net you $150 being generous. 40+ Used games at most, will be another $200 (again being generous) as the moment it becomes used, you can get maybe half it’s value selling it at a retailer, and the point of not going to a retailer is to get it for cheaper, and so at absolute maximum Lou should be selling those for $30 if they were brand fucking new still in the packaging $60 titles, but I can guarantee you none of them are, so at most he’s looking at a few bucks a pop, and bundling them in with a console listing lowers the sell value even further since you’re asking somebody to buy in bulk.

A used headset will be a few bucks.
A remote will be a couple bucks.
And the external HDD will be, at most, another $30.

And because of the fact it’s all bundled and coming from some random on the internet with no seller history or QA, that automatically means the entire thing needs to be listed for even less, so all the figures I gave above now need to be lowered further.

Lou should be asking $250, MAYBE $300 for the entire listing. Not 600 fucking dollars.

Depending on the title of games he has they could be worth more or less than half the price. Certain games are so badly received in the gaming world that once their release date breaks returns on used copies are even less than half. Some games on the hand are also worth more later on (Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver are one game that comes to mind since I've seen copies sell for over 60$ used) and have more of a return but no where near the starting cost typically. The only way you can even start selling games for more like that would have to be that the game is widely well received and fondly remembered and discontinued from production with no way to get them on a newer system digitally.

I'd argue advertising you have Fallout 76 only makes the price of your console go down rather than up. The numerous typos just enrage me for some reason as well as his all caps demands about the buyer.

Lou once again demonstrates him fundamentally misunderstand the value of virtually anything due to him doing nothing but spending other people’s money on things he wants for his entire life. I assumed he was selling Xbox One titles mainly, not ancient 360 games you can pick up from the dollar bin at any department store’s electronics department. $250 should be the absolute maximum he should be asking for this pile of tack, especially considering you could buy the new Xbox model and all of those games for less than the $600 he’s asking for.

Uhh I do not think that is how Gamepass works.

My guess is that Lou bought several of these without taking the 30 seconds to check to see if they were already on the Game Pass first. I subscribe to the service myself and I'm pretty sure nearly all of his duplicates on his list (with the exception of Doom Eternal, that was added last week) were already on the pass between when he bought the Xbox and now.

They tend to offer a good Chunk of a discount when trading a current gen console for a next gen one (at least in my part of the world), usually knocking the price down by a sizable amount. Combine that with the games it might be possible to get the PS5 down to a hundred or less.

This is assuming they are doing this discount for differing console brands (usually it's for the same console manufacturer), and if they are still trading in 360 / PS3 era games.

But the asking price for the console and ancient 360 games is laughable. I'd say closer to the PS5 release Lou will cave and go down the GameStop route then complain about the trade in price.

This would be a good idea if Lou truly wanted to get rid of his Xbox and games. However, I don't think he does.

I think he knows damn well that there's no way he can get 600$ for the system with the games and other items. He's not the person who would negotiate down either. The very minimum he would take would be 550$ at the very least. However, he's just putting it up and talking about selling it so he can try and then hide the fact he still owns it so he can use his foot gauze and Neosporin money grift to buy his PS5 and games. No he needs all of these luxury consumerist goods. No mater how much use he actually gets out of them. Like his food addiction he just needs these items.
