while it's shitty to see people turn into these bitter shells complaining about everything, I feel to some degree those that fall for this propaganda probably would've been virtue signaling whatever is popular regardless of their actual belief and probably not be worth being around because of that

Lol, this is legitimately just hilarious. A welcome moment of levity in the thread. Even the guys who managed to get those giant cone moobs just look like fat dudes with gynécomastie. You know they’re bragging on trans subreddits about how they have huge sexy tits and getting asspats and being dawned over.
... until you realize that they’re talking about “Tanner stage” and probably comparing themselves to all the child pornography they have on their computers.

On Rhys McKinnon's thread this week, @Positron posted a four-part precis on Rhys's latest philosophy paper, ""If Ifs and Buts Were Candy and Nuts: The Failure of Arguments Against Trans and Intersex Women's Full and Equal Inclusion in Women's Sport" (start here). Meanwhile, Joe Lavery is also dipping his moob into the sticky issue of troons in sports!
Rhys and Joe are both tenured professors with PhDs. Rhys's is in Philosophy, Lavery's is in English Literature with a specialization in the Victorian era. Both of them started out as normal men in academia, transitioned, and then gradually started shifting the focus of their work away from their original topics of interest and towards troon studies. Neither one is an idiot, but I generally think Lavery is smarter, his academic work (about non-troon issues) is more highly regarded, and before he trooned out, he had a genuine interest in being an educator and helping his students.
However, Lavery's recent attempts to pwn the terfs on Twitter are so pathetic, I have really come to appreciate Rhys's rhetorical skills. For all his flaws, Rhys understands how and why arguments are constructed in a two-sided debate. I don't know what the fuck Lavery thinks he is doing, probably imagining himself engaged in lively verbal sparring, but his "arguments" are incoherent spew.
Joe's terf interlocutor states that the interests of women and troons re: sports are at odds. It is in women's best interest to keep troons out. It is in troons' best interest to be let in. It is society's job to find the solution that benefits the most players. Joe's riposte is that troons vs. women is like tall women vs. short women.
A Rhysian venture into the idea of sports as a "civil right." Keeping troons out of women's sports (remember, no terf wants to bar troons from all sports) is just like denying troons social care (eg, housing).
"Some women are taller than some men!" and seizing on the word "typically" to deny the strength/size/metabolic advantages of men:
Lavery's interlocutor used boxing as an example: without weight classes, the larger boxer would almost always win. Segregating boxing by weight allows all the bantamweights to have a chance at winning based on their skills and level of training. Without sex-segregated sports, the terf argues, men would almost always win. "Who cares?!" says Lavery. "I want everyone to have prizes because I am a communist!" (Incidentally, he really does make a lot of noise about being a "communist"...in between crowing about his six-figure book deal, showing off his designer dog and luxurious apartment, and bragging that he bought a $650 Dolce and Gabbana tea kettle.)
That last tweet in the image above ^^ contains Joe's stupidest argument in the whole thread. "Sports fans want...harder, stronger, faster etc." He's right that men's sports are much more popular with fans than women's sports. Men are stronger, faster, and better at sports. It's simple reality. But do sports fans want more Hannah Mounceys, Fallon Foxes, Rhyses, and Laurel Hubbards because they are stronger/better/faster than their competitors? Fuck no.
Joe's proposed solution is two divisions: low-T and high-T. Make women ("cis women") prove it.
And finally we get to the crux of Joe's whole argument: "It doesn't really matter because I do not personally care, and if you do care you're an asshole."

This is why women are more likely to detransition than men, because unless they're fujo, it's not for the fetish. Since they're typically not sexually fueled, they're more likely to listen to reason.

This shit infuriates me. Troons and their orbiters love to assert that no one would "choose to become" trans because it's just an endless fight against the world and there are 0 benefits.
Yet you take a boring generic male, call him a transwoman instead, and watch the ladydicksucking commence. Everything he does becomes brave and inspiring overnight and nobody is allowed to criticize him without outing themselves as bigots who want trannies dead.
If I were a guy I would absolutely identify as a transwoman (while changing absolutely nothing about myself except slapping on some low-effort nail polish) just to fuck with people.

That’s exactly what I hate about some of the Facebook groups I’m in for female gamers - they go out of their way to be troon friendly and insist the ogres in wigs and too much makeup are just the same as everyone else, when really they stick out like a sore thumb with their ridiculous names and profile pics with either a trans flag filter, garishly coloured hair and shitty makeup, or Picrew avatar. I see thread after thread with topics like “LGBT+ girl gamers drop your selfies in the comments” or “who wants to add this smol lonely trans gurl on Steam?” and group rules state plz no bully, this is an inclusive space! so you just gotta deal with these narcissistic perverts hanging around and making everybody uncomfortable.

Almost all of reddit is brigaded by troons, they moderate plenty of subreddits.
It's no surprise that this stuff happens.
The posts get flooded with other trannies searching for trans shit
The troon moderators get awards to give to posts and as meaningless as they are, they bring attention to troon posts.

Yeah, there are a lot of troon mods, but tranny posts gain traction on women's subreddits (femalefashionadvice, fancyfollicles, makeupaddiction, redditlaqueristas) because women upvote them in an attempt to be woke and inclusive. Not because other troons brigade the posts.

I'm guessing they hate psychiatrists because they haven't found a psychiatrist who confirmed their self diagnosed mental illnesses. They probably think "I say it is then it's true", then get all mad when the psychiatrist instead gives them a diagnosis of a cluster B personality disorder or just flat out state, you're faking this for attention.All psychiatrists are bastards? ... Mormon?
These people just seem to want a diagnosis and to be able to act out their fantasy/delusion, not getting actual treatment for their mental problems. Obviously this applies to trannies as well, except with them, there is only one treatment, because trying therapy or medications to treat their dysphoria is just evil conversion therapy.

Over on r/mypartneristrans a troon got a massive wake up call from his wife, and has decided to focus on his family, put the troon nonsense back in the closet and live like the male he is.
The subreddit makes their displeasure known, and warns him against not living like an insane degenerate.
This kinda confirms something I’ve noticed before: Troons feed on asspats and troon-wives often plays a big part i trooning out.
I guarantee you that most troons (aside from the psychopaths and pathological cases) would stop dead in their tracks, if their wife just quietly started packing her bags the moment he “comes out”.

You raise a valid point. I think that's part of why there's so much focus on "accepting" and girldick and shit like that. Because if the wives were really made aware of how much power they really do have, and if they weren't scared of being "cancelled", they could nip this shit in the bud.
