Social Justice Warriors - Now With Less Feminism Sperging

Would it be off-topic if I submitted the whole intersection between transgender advocacy and tumblr's pseudo-feminist fetishization of gender identity theory is kinda ironic? The very reason transgenderism is a thing is because there are certain structural differences between male and female brains; transgenderism appears to represent the odd mismatch between one's neurological "sex" and reproductive organs. I can't imagine that would be convenient for tumblr kids' treatment of gender as this completely fluid and arbitrary "social construct".

Cyclist denied entry to bike shop for being male.

On a recent Sunday evening, John (who asked for his full name to be withheld) was riding his bike with his wife and two daughters.

The family needed bike parts and was interested in buying a bike, so they rode to the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society’s BikeWorks South, near Whyte Avenue.

But at the volunteer-staffed shop, people at the bike works allegedly told John he couldn’t come inside, yet his wife could. “I was denied entry based on gender. I was surprised,” he said.

Despite an open for business sign, John said he was barred entry because of the society’s “Women, Trans and Gender Non-Binary” program that was being held at the shop that Sunday.

“If you do not identify as woman, trans or non-binary, you can support this important initiative by … respecting the space and not entering during the Women, Trans & Gender Non-Binary program,” reads the society’s website.

how come all this SJW crap is coming from canada?

It's the fucking Metro free paper, a junk rag they hand out at the bus stops.

They're the ones that brought us such enlightens articles as;

http://metronews.ca/news/canada/1304795/fighting-words-language-and-sexism-enters-new-phase/

And the breaking news of:
http://metronews.ca/news/edmonton/1...rosswalks-coming-to-edmontons-old-strathcona/

It's a crappy rag that pushes a very SJW agenda with an occasional sprinkling of actual news taken from the real newspapers.

I used it to housebreak my puppy and even he refused to shit on it.

Retarded ally

So being a good ally means being a self-hating human doormat?

So at a large local con I was just at some girl is making a big stink accusing the staffers and directors of all kinds of ridiculous stuff. The ridiculous of her bullshit is actually off the wall enough to be pretty funny if you have any familiarity with the con polices, directors, and feel and have half a brain, but of course there's already a bunch of sjws believing every word she says and shitting up the con's various social media accounts on and off.

Plus she supposedly was already on the watch list of several other cons for pulling similar crap in past. She also strongly comes off as the kind of person who wants to be famous like yaya han or Jessica nigiri and exploits the fact the being involved in a controversy is one of the easiest ways to get fame.

Today's privilege check is brought to you by my college.

So "male privilege" is walking down the street without whistles and comments. So I suppose "female privilege" is being able to enjoy spending time with young children, with no one questioning your motives.

I can keep going too. Want to keep playing, Lorraine?

This. A friend of mine tried to get a job in childcare and they told him they only hire women for liability reasons. He works in construction now. Yep its the patriarchy enforcing traditional gender roles all right.

The cosplay community has suffered from SJW bullshit, not as much as some other communities but it's still annoying as hell. The community is full of attention whores who want to be the next Yaya but instead of, idk, making nice costumes and participating in the hobby they try to wear as little as possible, put no effort in to their cosplay, run Indiegogo campaigns to buy fake tits, make slutty versions of non slutty characters and other cheap attention whoring tactics and when people call them out on it they cry about slutshaming and feminism and body policing. It's fucking ridiculous.
SJWs have also infested lolita fashion, luckily by definition it's about NOT looking sexual so this particular attention whoring technique hasn't caught on.

You know, these people are awfully presumptious. As in thinking that those catcalling even mean that shit and/or would touch their "deathfat" asses with a 39 and a half foot pole.

Take it from me, some people will feign attraction. They'll do it just to mess with you. I don't know why, if anything it's one of the dickest moves I can think of ever outside of criminal acts but yeah, anyone catcalling them is probably being sarcastic.

Since I know these people IRL, they're not your typical fat tumblrinas. Rather they're the "punk feminist" kind that dye their hair bleach blonde, shave half of their head, wear a shit ton of makeup, massive thick rimmed hipster glasses, and dress like they're the most fanciest thing in the universe or wear skimpy outfits. Then they expect people not to look at them like a circus performance.

A way to put it is, these are physically decent looking people that are ashamed they're decent looking so they try to make themselves look horrible and anyone that acknowledges that they look decent is privileged, sexist, and part of the PATRIARCHY. The funny thing is though is that I have hardly ever heard anyone catcall on campus and if it's happened it was jokingly.

The only places that shit like they describe happen is at the wild off campus parties where everyone is high and drunk off their asses in which case they probably shouldn't be going to those if they don't want to get hit on.

Then they pay the women like shit, then complain about how much less women make. Meanwhile, construction workers make good money (mostly due to the "It's physically demanding and there's a not-so-slim chance you could die" thing) and everyone wants to complain that women make less money on average.

Based on what I know about employment law, that's very illegal, as in Federal level. Anyone who is qualified and rejected due to gender can take them to court for violating the Civil Rights Act.
Off topic: diverse workplaces thrive. Forced diversity, however, backfires frequently.

Most of the past year I was studying to become a high school teacher (and then quit the study when I found out the study wasn't for me). It's rather interesting to get to talk to the people who are actually work in that field.

I once mentioned to my counsellor how male elementary teachers have some stigmas attached to them, and we had a decent talk about it. In a lot of places male teachers have that "paedo" stigma going on, especially in elementary schools, because of that dumb idea that only women can work with children. It's such a problem that a lot of men are discouraged from becoming elementary teachers. I can also imagine some people would feel uneasy hiring men because of those stigmas, either because they believe in it themselves or because parents might take issue.

I also once talked to an elementary school teacher (a friend of my sister) about the role boys have in education. I told her that it seems boys have a huge disadvantage at school because the current way of teaching is much more catered to girls. She agreed with me, saying that a lot of her male students have trouble focusing on lessons (which is, of course, bad for their grades). It was rather nice to hear that from someone who actually works as an elementary teacher. Though not so nice that it is a genuine issue that barely anyone talks about.

Of course none of this is a problem because patriarchy.

I probably spend too much time in these kinds of threads but IRL when I see someone with this style I feel my bullshit detector kick in higher then I would for someone with a more mundane style.

It's pretty fucking dumb to "limit liability" by openly admitting to something you can legitimately have your pants sued off for (employment discrimination).

Trying to hide my power level as much as possible...

A few years ago, I was required to attend a seminar in education. The lecturer was this absolute SJW who all but wore a "Please forgive me for being male" shirt on stage. What he told the teachers in the group was that, while boys and girls were equally intelligent, male intelligence was evolutionarily engineered for hunting, fighting, and scouting... things that were all well and good, but not really desirable skills in the 21st century. Girls's brains, on the other hand, were engineered for communication, creativity and collaboration, which wouldn't you know it just happened to be the skills that allowed them to succeed in school. So it's not that the teachers or their curriculums were discriminatory... it's just that girls were naturally more capable of dealing with such things because that's how their brains were wired. And if there happened to be a mastadon and a spear in the vicinity sometime, that's when the boys would get their turn to shine, I guess.

So really, that's why boys just don't do well and can have behavioral problems... because we're forcing them to learn in ways that their brains aren't designed to learn. And since academics tend to be what prepares you for adult life, boys in general have a genetic disadvantage.

Not only did I have to listen to this with a straight face, I had to do so while realizing that he was probably paid a nice, four-figure fee for a 90 minute pep talk.
