You overestimate the amount of far-lefters and trannies on twitter.

I've noticed I make it towards babies/kids under five, as a face to show to the child that I'm not a threat. I think the reason why it's creepy when people do it, especially guys, is because like you said, not only is it emasculating, but it's also a male feminist thing.

I do the same; it's a face I make to either make the baby smile or show that I'm interested in whatever they have to show or say.

With Soymen, I think it's because they're aware of their unflattering looks and physique. Posing like a normal person would only exacerbate their lack of appeal, so instead of smiling like a normal person they use the soyface as to not look bland and feign excitement for whatever it is they're posing for. You left out an important sentence that sums it all up nicely: "For even the very wise cannot see all ends.” Gandalf was simply telling Frodo not to be so hasty when it came to wishing death upon Gollum because there was no telling what fate had in store for him. Gollum was not evil per se, just corrupted by the power of the Ring, and Gandalf had a hunch that he'd have a larger role to play.

In more general terms, none of us can see what the future has in store for every person, so wishing death upon one's enemies is as foolish as wishing life for dead allies. You never know what someone may do, and an enemy now might be an ally in the future, or vice versa.

But these people wouldn't know good literature if it smacked them upside the head, so it's not a surprise that they don't get it.
