Most of the pieces I've read are saying the entire debate was a shit show and that Biden did the whole "didn't win but didn't lose" thing to allow them to say Biden "won" while tacitly giving the right a bone by saying that Biden was just as bad as Trump was when it came to incivility. Which is pissing off the lunatic lefties who are claiming "both siderism" from the media, claiming that the press opted to go with "it was a clusterfuck all around" because they were afraid of the backlash if they said Biden won flawless victory.

Furthermore, there is already a movement brewing to use the madness of the debate to try and give Joe the out to refuse to participate in any further debates with Trump. Or to change the next two debates to allow moderators to mute Trump, in order to trigger Trump into refusing to do them and allow Joe to escape the backlash from having to refuse to do them.

The way I see it is like this - you can vote in someone nice and agreeable and you'll get the same results as the Trudeau's, Blairs, Obama's and Theresa May's of this world. They'll speak with honey in their mouths to catch your votes, but spend the actual time in office more concerned with their polling numbers and will do shitty things but rely on their spin-doctor team to cook up an excuse for why they had to drone that village last week and have someone write up a real cute speech to convince you those extra taxes they are about to shaft on you are a good thing. After all - if your nice and grin most of the time, people will be more likely to book you for the sweet talk circuit after your term(s)

Also worth noting, Biden did take potshots too. Called Trump a clown, told him to shut up a bunch of times when he didn't like what was being said ect. He wasn't exactly a gentleman on the stage. Trump had better material for roasting. It's basically the whole "omg look at Trump getting in Hillary's space I'm literally shaking rn" all over again.

A leader has to run the show, and sometimes leading means sometimes you have to play the bad guy and be okay that people will not love every choice you make or that it might even screw up your "legacy" - I have more respect for someone who is willing to put that thought aside to do things they know will tank their rep.

It works too, Trump renegotiated a ton of foreign trade deals that had really bad terms that screwed over American business (because the nice ones were not willing to fight for better deals and give more away from US biz for "better relations") or deal with international issues. Granted it's too early to say if Trumps dabbling with international political issues will bear fruit - but he at least managed to get the Koreas trying to understand each other for a while, rather than just maintain status quo because that was easier and "nicer"

Clinton, Trudeau, Obama, Blair, even May to a lesser extent, all got elected by promising the moon and basically peddling "hope and change" in the wake of a really nasty period where the opposition controlled shit for around a decade or more.

The ones that are nice and agreeable are like Carter (out in one term and villified as a wimp with little to show for it, due to them not having the ruthless sociopathy to get shit done) or in the case of someone like Eisenhower, they get shit done but leave office so utterly redpilled that they check out from society as the vultures swoop down the feed on the body politic the second the steward is gone.

You know the more I keep hearing about TDS and socialism and bernie sanders and shit, I think the reason why socialism is the popular fad in this country right now has fuck all to do with compassion or everyone helping their fellow man, they just want the government to hold their hand and do everything for them while they work in cushy jobs people dream of having (animation, writing, etc.) and they're willing to commit humanitarian atrocities to do it, but they just won't admit it. Maybe that's why so many of them use cartoons, video games, anime, and Marvel movies as their sole identity because they're mentally stuck in a perpetual loop where they still think they're children and the adult life turned out way harder than initially expected. Simply put, they never had to work for their stuff so they think they don't have to work for their stuff now as adults, but that's not simply case anymore and all that goes to die after twenty. So they're willing to tank the economy and throw POCs and immigrants into labor camps for only 3.00 a day to do all the heavy lifting while they get to do what they want to do but no one else can. The funniest part about it is that's simply not going to be the case when it passes because in a planned economy, production is determined by government entities and if animation and writing is not really on the table because television is not being watched by the populace, they'll just be wasting money keeping those same people in their jobs.

Adding to this, I have to say that there is an entire generation for whom the crash of 2008 was a life ruining event: kids and teenagers from upper middle class and lower upper class families who were spoiled rotten, the Queen Bee or even Chad of their school, had well off and well to do parents who would get them cushy jobs and careers and lived in the best neighborhoods, went to the best private schools or public schools in the rich part of town, and had everything they ever wanted growing up.

Then the economic took a shit and died in the fall of 2008 and their lives were ruined.

Their parents lost their jobs and their houses. They had to move to the shitty part of town, leaving all of their friends behind as they end up going to the "bad" (IE poor) schools where they were no longer King Chad or Queen Bee and socially cast aside as the worst thing you could be in school "that new kid who was on the outside of the various cliques that form in school from day one of kindergarden among people who grew up together and don't like outsiders" or worse, filled with minorities who brutalized them and being told when they complained that them being white was why they were being bullied mercilessly and indoctrinated into anti-white anti-life equations by people (their parents, their teachers) who basically victim blamed them and punished them for reporting the abuse until they believed the lie that it was their own fault they were being bullied by racist anti-white blacks.

They most likely had to sell all of their big ticket toys and personal effects to bring in money to keep the family going, while their parents struggled to find work and most likely watched their parents marriage collapsed. Most probably didn't even get into college and saw their dreams ruined by the economic crash and as such, turned to socialism/communism as both "revenge" against the elites and as a means to regain power they lost when they lost everything.
