(That's not even "Manipulated Media". Trump was walking offstage from a rally, and Tiny Dancer is one of the frequent songs his campaign plays. Adding to the absurdity, he had stressed the importance of SCOTUS nominees in the next term, saying "I got two", unaware RBG had just died to make it three.)
Some pause their TDS long enough to marvel at the moment.
Others... don't.
And, the conspiracy theories begin.

He's been to Minneapolis before, though I imagine the mayor has pulled a lot more shit after last time to ensure that the orange man can't returned.

I haven't fully done the timeline calculations, but I think he was making this joke right after RBG died. (Edit: you can see the C-span ticker announcing her death while he's up there, lol)

I definitely think the best move is to try and get someone in as fast as he can, having an even numbered court with 4 libs and 4 conservatives right before an election where the other side has promised to try their damnedest to cheat is asking for disaster. In addition, statistically, the republican senate majority is likely to narrow, I still think it will be a majority, but possibly not when you count Romney. It's best to get it done now with a firm lead that can weather a couple RINOs voting present.
Incidentally, I'm curious who the next one will be, if Trump were to get a 4th. Breyer is almost as old as the lich, but he doesn't have a decades long history of health problems like she did. Unless something extremely unexpected happens, I really don't see him needing to retire. Thomas is the next oldest, but he's a full decade younger than Breyer still, and is also in good health. I think it's unlikely for now that he retires, he probably has another 12 years left in him in case the pendulum swings back to a dem president after Trump.

It's an incredibly surreal moment for sure. Especially when the scene before is him joking about what a good Justice Ted Cruz would make. If I was a leftist losing what's left of my fucking mind because I ironically worshipped a Supreme Court Justice to the point where it started becoming unironic I'd believe it was staged too.

Sadly, while I think such a mechanic would be useful in our governance, there is no constitutional process to create an interim supreme court justice.

She's likely to be all-in on mass immigration. This crazy Karen adopted a bunch of African kids to virtue signal how Not Racist™ she is. The chances of her believing in the Constitution the founders intended is next to zero. The chance of her caving in to signal her virtue when the stakes are high, as she's repeatedly done throughout her life, is extremely high.
Edit: Also she's a Charismatic. The inter-denominational parachurch she belongs to is pretty wacky in terms of doctrine. They're like Catholic Pentecostals. For the religiously conservative Kiwis who know what that means, it's probably gonna be a turn-off for you.
She just doesn't seem like someone who will lead the country's judiciary back onto the right path.

She has two adopted kids from Haiti in addition to her five biological children. Which, while I'd much prefer she adopt kids in need from America first before going to Africa Minor doesn't sound as bad as you're making it. Agreed. Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and John Roberts constantly cave. We can't have someone else who caves. Amy Barrett has "Hollywood Handbag" Haitian kids to virtue signal. She's the kind of affluent upper class woman who would give amnesty to all the DACA kids. Can't take that risk. Plenty of judges look somewhat nice when it comes to previous decisions on paper. But then they become a turncoat like Roberts on the bench.

Are there any genuinely based judges with a chance though? It seems like some form of virtue signalling is required to fly that high, unless you got fuck-you-money through sheer luck and shrewd business sense like McAfee or Notch.

Well I'll be honest, the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg was to be expected given her old age and poor health anyway.
So with that said, as a forecast for the next few months is going to be a total shitshow. So far we have the second wave of the coronavirus is beginning to now manifest itself on the European continent, the election is roughly a month away, and a Supreme Court seat needs to be filled now.
Also, the lefties are threatening to riot again and start civil unrest if they push with approving of a new Supreme Court justice before the election then.
So this should be fun where we will see the virus making a comeback, the election being a dumpster fire, and we will probably see a sequel to the riots that the lefties will cause and potentially turn the United States into the Arab Spring later on.
At this point, I won't be surprised if both Godzilla and Cthulhu showed up by this December to destroy humanity followed by an alien invasion then.
This year is shit and honestly this is for the first time I now truly fear the unknown because we are in uncharted waters right now.
So let's see what happens next then.
