I don't relish in her death, can only hope that it was a peaceful passing, but a part of me is somewhat relived she won't have to suffer through anymore health problems. Even taking a glance at what she was suffering from before her death it's a wonder she managed to fight it all off for so long. I'm hoping people leave her family alone and don't try to parade them in front of the media for political points.
I'm not sure whether I'd want them to push through a judge before election or not, if they don't it'll definitely end up an election issue that both sides will campaign on.

While I understand where you are coming from, we have to be realistic here. The Democrats will most likely try to get her children and grandchildren to come out and say something along these lines. "My mother/grandmother knew politics. She knew what it was like to be someone who struggled against her adversaries. There is someone right now, struggling against adversity. And that someone is Joe Biden. So please vote in support of those who struggling to make America a better place."
That is what I see. The Dems trying to use the sympathy card just for votes. And it will work.

Someone made a good point: no matter how long RBG warmed that SCOTUS seat, ultimately it did not belong to her, but to the people of the U.S.A. She had no right to ask 'Oh pleeeez don't let mean orange man fill my seat with some dirty conservative type.'
I wouldn't wish metastatic pancreatic cancer on anyone (well, almost; but the list is VERY short and can be counted on one hand), but RBG should've realized this was a problem when her health started to decline in Obama's second term. She should've retired THEN.

Roberts can now stop playing pretend and completely turn liberal so it's 4-4 right now. Because you know even with his bullshit about trying to stay clear of overruling unconstitutional legislation like Obamacare, he will flip flop and say sure, polling and can last weeks after the election, that's normal, this is fine.
It's sort of amazing how this played out, and supposedly Ginsberg was dying for weeks and just didn't let the Trump administration know to ferment this bullshit, which is the balls on her. When the person serving public office has such contempt for the normal citizen and thinks they're above it all...I guess I don't have anything to expand that to because that's what they all are doing.
