Let's be real here: Matt is actually funny when he wants to be. He's charismatic in a way the gunt-guard isn't, save for Rand and Masterson.
He's a flaggot who fudges the severity of his "crimes" to this day, but frankly I don't care. Ralph is much worse, and his friends are boring people. Matt is a human being who lives in the real world, and at least he's funnier than the people who hate him right now.
Anybody following IBS for the sake of integrity is a LARPing pseud stuck in their gimmick. Let it all burn.
