I was going to say. Kate Dillon was a straight size model who switched to plus size well over twenty years ago. Dillon was handpicked by Richard Avedon for one of his shoots. Tess ain’t got shit on Kate.
ETA Kate was signed with Wilhelmina back in the 90s and moved to their plus board in the 00s. There you go: one of the top agencies already had a plus division years before Tess even started her “career”.
And wouldn’t her supposed pal Mia Tyler qualify as a signed model well before Tess entered the scene?

I was going to start citing ALLLL of the plus-size models that were signed long before her, but then I found this Wikipedia entry that did it for me.

Edit: This article from 1987 is fascinating.
Now Flabletics claims that their size 1x is a 16-18 and their 2x is an 18-20. (Note: Tess claims to be a 3x in their clothes, which is obviously complete bullshit.)
So since 1987, a "perfect" size 18 has been reduced to an ill-fitting size 14 and the measurements for a size 18 have increased by 2-4 inches in the bust, 4-7 inches in the waist, and 5-7 inches in the hips.
Horrifying.
Also the fact that the "where did you hear about us" option includes KEVIN HART but not the world's most PIONEERING fatass moddle utterly kills me. Sorry Tess, I guess Kevin Hart is a better plus-size influencer than you...

But really, what is the cure for this? It will never be enlightenment.
