I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion but I was never a big fan of comedy. Whether it be stand-up, satire or parody, etc. it's always felt over hyped and whoever the comedian(s) were involved were praised as comedy geniuses that I felt more like a hostage forced to watch than an average Joe who wanted to just have a laugh. Whenever I watched Stand-up it was on BET and most the jokes were about race, which funny at first, got old very quick. Now it's the same everywhere but WOKE!

Concorde actually did make a profit, eventually, but won't be coming back. It would cause St Greta to ree like a neckbeard deprived of tendies and we can't have that. Personally, I'm hoping that we get our shit together and develop cross-continental vacuum maglev tubes. With no air resistance, there's no need to spend time and effort on wind tunnel testing so you can just put a box on a maglev track and have it blam along at an arbitrarily high speed, going to stations through airlocks to refill the recirculated air. Powered by nuclear energy it would be as fast as flying, cheaper, and zero emissions as well.

Speaking of nuclear energy, we should tell the greenies to go choke on a bag of dicks and just build the fuckers already. Bradwell B? Reopened. Sizewell C? Approved. Maybe post Brexit do a deal with the Indians to get in on their nascent thorium powered reactors (because South Wales and Devon are full of thorium) and get building. Then we can close down all our coal plants, take the resulting carbon credits, and sell them to the highest bidder.

As regards missions to Mars being male entitlement, lol. Is there an actual person behind these articles or are they produced by a computer that strings leftoid talking points and buzzwords together, like the prolefeed novel-writing machines in 1984.

There’s essentially no way we make a significant dent in our fossil fuel use now and in the medium term future without a massive switch to nuclear.

We can handle the byproducts of nuclear a lot better than we can handle a 1.5 or 2 degree global temperature rise in the immediate future. I was anti nuclear for a long time (and I’m still CND) but at this point, nuclear power is the way we put the brakes on climate change without expecting lifestyle changes of a type and scale that no first or second world nation will ever agree to.

Had the Soviets got that supersonic Tupolev into production, supersonic air travel may actually be the norm these days as there'd be competition in that sector and thus a driver of innovation.

Really? I remember Martin writing that he was a huge Tolkien fan (in fact, it was LOTR that turned him away from stuff like Conan, and that style of writing), but he was actually frightened of trying to write like him because he was certain he couldn't match it.

i was pretty surprised how quickly Gears of War started going down the political, social justice road. 4 was meh i suppose, but they went full representation. white man bad in 5. the Total War series has been getting on my nerves with their nonsense over the past few years, which is also why i think they have not gone back to history besides romanticized periods. can't forget good ol' Star Wars. im so happy i have the knowledge that Lando fucks robots!

i have heard about that from time to time myself. but it seems like it has been in development hell for a while, so i hope its not going anywhere currently. also the fact the Tolkien estate has been really holding on to the IP since their falling out with Peter Jackson, which is good. with Chris dead, and his son not seeming too worried about the IP compared to his dad (at least in my eyes), i hope he is not ready to just let anyone walk in and add to the lore.


but yes, i will most likely consider it fan fiction. i just hope it has less blatant self inserts than Sonichu...but with writers these days, who knows.
