I definitely remember some BLM types a few years ago saying 'fuck firefighters and paramedics too, they're cut from the same cloth as cops'. In any case I know the local firefighters where I live have pretty good relations with the local cops and I imagine it's the same in most places except where their unions constantly butt heads over pay.

There’s been a LOT of flak directed at the English premier league for kowtowing to black lives matter. The slogan is on shirts and players are kneeling.
Context is that football has had in the past a problem with twits chucking bananas on the pitch and abusing black players, so there’s been a long standing and pretty sensible ‘give racism the red card’ push in football which was needed, and successful and sane and the sort of thing anti racism campaigns should be. Treat everyone with respect, if we find you throwing missiles at our black players you’re banned. That kind of thing. The status now is that people want their teams to win and if they’ve got a star black player they don’t care, team tribalism has largely overcome the racism angle (oh the irony...).
Anyway. After the UK wing of BLM went full Marxist/anti Semite on Twitter last week some pundits (black and white) have been pushing back.
The penny begins to drop, the corporate lawyers and image managers are realising that BLM are a liability and that in a few years, those pictures of their assets sporting BLM slogans across their chests are going to be very embarrassing.
