any real calls to reform police work so that it becomes less likely people with authority can get away with immoral or unprofessional practices is lost under mountains of politicized racialized virtue signalling. its easier for guilty whites and tribalist black enclaves to blame police brutality against black people on racism rather than just the fact black people are disproportionately represented in criminal statistics. you have an entire segment of the population who refuses to acknowledge their part in the cycle and see it as a simple one sided affair where instead of little things piling on every part of the system is just overbearingly racist, cops are just considered basically nazis instead of being left to clean up the mess of a population held back by the past and their own unwillingness to change. oh also the white people who enable them for quick ass pats instead of taking the harder route

Fuck that shit hurts like hell, and used properly will break the skin under trousers, and I don't just mean welts, I mean full on lacerations, which I know from experience, from when I was an engineer and we had similar "devices" that were only rubber hosing, but were used as gas test meters, and I stupidly took a 500 quid bet to take 1 (not many, just one) whip to my ass fully clothed. Ripped right through my trousers, and right through both arse cheeks, and would not stop bleeding. Had to have 2 weeks of not being able to sit down after that or sleep on my back. Still got paid though, but I would rather be stabbed than whipped any day.

Funny how many "apolitical" entertainers have become batshit full-time activists over this incident. I do think what happened to our boy George Floyd is wrong, obviously, and Derek Chauvin deserves a prison sentence. But I don't get why so many people who have no knowledge or interest in politics all of a sudden have an urge to become saviours of the world after this one small incident in particular (brownie points I guess). Not to mention, 97% of it is gonna end up making the situation worse, due to everyone only being able to blame each other instead of working together to make this world a better place.

An "Education" is something that a lot of people don't understand. At its best, it gives you a lot of information on a specific field, making you an expert in that field. You might get basic knowledge related to the field as well, but chances are that if its not foundational to your main focus, it won't really stick. For example, a Virologist will know where an appendix is, but won't know how to remove it. This is why someone with a doctorate or other high level of education can be useless outside of their field.
At its worst, an "Education" means that you have displayed the base line minimum capacity to show up in class, memorize stuff long enough to pass a test, and write a paper here and there. It doesn't really require common sense or analytical ability 95% of the time. Combine that with all the low effort degrees out there, all the coddling of students, all the subjectivity of many courses, and nearly any fucking moron can make it through so long as they're willing to actually try, even a little.
Combine this with the fact that most people don't look into things very deeply, and the fact that the news media is HEAVILY skewed to the left and it makes sense as to why people feel like this. Sure, they're smart and educated, but they're also humans with limited knowledge who are being fed a constant supply of bullshit.
