The public, as a whole, is not as smart as you'd hope, but not as dumb as you'd fear.

Take this clown on MSNBC for example. Saying the riots are generally peaceful. Well the public can see the building on fire in the background. They're not buying it. That's why this tweet has gone viral. It's absurd and the public knows it.

No one who didn't already think Trump is to blame for everything thinks Trump is to blame for this. Any one who would vote Democrat because a Democrat city in a Democrat state are on fire due to Democrat malfeasance was already going to vote Democrat.

Does anyone else appreciate the irony that the Dems have spent so much political capital on trying to court the white suburbanites turned off by Trump's boorish behaviour only to completely squander it?

Because if there's one thing that white upper middle class women dislike far more than rude words it's looting and rioting only a few miles from their homes.

Latest polls came out from wapo/ABC. To summarize, Biden has the lead but Trump has the enthusiasm. And the enthusiasm gap was way greater than Biden's lead gap.

The shutdowns need to be halted for those rallies to resume since all of those protestors and looters gave no two fucks.
 
I will say that Trump's current strategy on the riots could backfire on him. I know he's doing it so that no one can blame him for it, and to not bail out the spineless mayors, and governors, but it could give voters the impression that he did nothing while the country burned and tore itself apart.

His stupid spat with Twitter, and sperging about revoking 230 certainly doesn't help and makes it look like he doesn't his priorities straight.

So it could be another 2016 situation where Hilary technically had more supporters but they only supported her out of obligation not enough to actually go vote. To support that Trump has the enthusiasm on his side I've seen a few yard signs for Trump out already and no Biden signs, granted I'm not driving to many places and Biden hasnt chosen his running mate yet, but signs this early show that Trumps supporters are itching to vote for him in November.

I don't think anyone who didn't already oppose Trump would think that.

For the last few weeks the media has made it known that Trump doesn't have the power to open states, etc, etc. They then can't turn around and blame him for not doing enough about the failures at the state and local level.

It will indeed work on the TDS afflicted, because they are very well capable of simultaneously holding two mutually exclusive positions. But for the rest of the people, I'm not so sure they'll buy it.

Posse Comitatus stops him from using direct military forces to break skulls down and I'm sure at this rate, not even Republicans would support repealing it in case of a Democrat president is in charge. There is also Nancy Pelosi that would have fucked him in trying to end the riots by force. There is also the insurrection act as well that he could have used but problem is majority of the rioters wanted free shit over wanting to seriously overthrow the gubmint.

Wouldn't be surprised if people rioted, whatever the outcome. Trump wins, riots. Biden wins, riots. Doesn't matter, things are on edge this year and with the media egging the fringe populace to act more and more, as we see now, it'll keep happening.
If riots happen when Trump wins, I have a sneaking suspicion at that point, the kid gloves would be off when it comes to handling them. He wouldn't have qualms with the elections by that point so popularity means jack shit.

The scale of the riots will likely match the outcome of the election. Close for Trump will obviously cause much salt and screaming but a fucking rout in his favor? It might sober people up that a riot is exactly why people voted for him. At least, the people who can add 1 + 1 these days. Much of Twitter would just see it as the beginning of Armageddon again, despite it being the left having caused a majority of the troubles we're facing today. Not all, but a majority.

Dave Chappelle once made a great joke, when white people get mad, they vote. The youth, the niggers and other minorities like muh latinos vote at lower rates than whites.
