The latest I've heard was that he tried to pass a counterfeit 20 and the 10 dollar forgery or whatever was fake news.

Regardless, he was a home invader, so I cheer his death even though I condemn the means of its being carried out.

The second you threaten an innocent person's life in commission of a crime - in her own home no less - you forfeit your right to life in my personal court of justice.


'In 2007, Floyd was charged with armed robbery in a home invasion in Houston, in which another man posed as a water department worker in an attempt to gain access to a woman’s residence, according to court documents.

When the woman realized he wasn’t actually a water department worker, she tried to close the door. That’s when five other men got out of a car that had just pulled up and forced their way inside.

According to charging documents, the largest man in the group, whom the victim identified as Floyd, “forced his way inside the residence, placed a pistol against the complainant’s abdomen, and forced her into the living room area of the residence.”'

I know nothing about business matters but I just heard that businesses have to actually have specific looters insurance like flood, fire or earthquake, in order to collect from this fuckin debacle.

There is specific coverage available for Riot and Civil Commotion but most of the property damage should be covered by a standard Commercial Policy. There is also insurance for business income but whether people will have that or not is hard to say that would cover loss of revenue due to being unable to operate.

I know it is super popular to shit on insurance companies but they are incredibly important to having a functional economy and the last few months have been bad for them. The longer these riots are allowed to go on and the more damage is done the more damage is done to insurance companies.

Many areas require you to carry certain coverage to operate certain businesses and people may find that insurers have pulled back from these areas or have stopped offering those policies in those areas. That means the few companies that do will be charging a higher rate, as they should, and the cost of opening and operating a business has just gone up.

I would say that the last event to cause this much potential damage to the industry was Katrina.

Harvey's biggest damage was in government insured flood areas(the only reason those areas existed was the government subsidy as no insurer would touch buildings built in naturally occurring flood protection FOR SOME REASON).

Maybe the California fires but that is debatable. The cost to replace there was pretty flat. Business have lost tens of thousands of dollars worth of inventory(individually), have a ton of property damage, and may be insured against revenue loss. That could easily hit seven figures. Commercial policies often have high caps so...yeah. It is going to be a blood bath.

But yeah keep doing nothing about it governors and Trump. The economy was on the pavement and these fucking riots are the knee on the neck.

Will try to get out and take some pictures later today. Unlike the protestors, it’s still a work day and I have a job to do first.

Last night was much worse. The girlfriend went out earlier and an office building a few blocks away had all of their windows smashed in. Rioters usually don’t go this far in this direction, so it’s unusual.

The riots might also be the single biggest wave of anti-Semitic hate crimes in 24 hours since the Crown Heights Pogrom in the nineties.

As I noted previously, Congregation Beth El on Beverly Blvd in Los Angeles had been vandalized with graffiti. Elder of Ziyon's Twitter feed shows that in addition, Beit Medrash Kehilat Yaakov, also known as Rabbi Bess' shul, and Rabbi Ganzweig's Shul in Los Angeles were spray painted. Also Beth Ahabah, a Reform Temple in Richmond Virginia, had its windows shattered by the rioting thugs.

Both Black Lives Matter and Antifa have clear anti-Semitic ideologies. The vandalism of multiple synagogues ought to be part of the discussion about their climate of violence and hate.
