Hardcover = the GM screen it's included with. The screen itself is likely laminated card stock, and the booklet will be a coverless pull-out inclusion, like the "Terrible Trouble at Tragidor" adventure included with the 2nd Ed. AD&D DM Screen. Except that DM screen wasn't durable enough to qualify as "hard cover".
